When I'm downloading or uploading large numbers of files, there seems to be a lot of overhead business going on between each transfer: commands like TYPE A, PORT ..., STOR ..., etc.
These comands are issued by all FTP clients, some choose merely to not show them to you, BPFTP does so as our users for the most part prefer it this way, it does not diminish the performance in anyway.
